Our handmade lace up sandals are crafted with love by young women in Uganda seeking a way to generate income to continue their education. Our partnership with Sseko Designs in Gulu, Uganda provides these women with the hope for a brighter future. Over a 9 month period of time the women create Sseko sandals, and save money for university. At the end of 9 months our partners match the amount they’ve earned, and the women move on to pursue their college degrees and become doctors, lawyers, teachers, and entrepreneurs.

Here’s how our lace up sandals work: choose your size, then choose your straps! Our beautiful handmade sandals are made from genuine leather with interchangeable fabric straps that can be styled in hundreds of ways. Each lace up sandal has five anchor points to lace the straps through, and allow you to tie your Sseko sandals differently every day.

Lace up sandals are the perfect travel accessory; pack one pair of sandals and change the straps to match your outfit for the day (or night!). Sseko sandals are also great for weddings.
