Casey Trogden

Hi, Seven Hopes United friends! I’m Casey, lover of good coffee, world-inspired fashion and the fair trade industry. I recently used Seven Hopes United for my wedding registry and was so happy to be able to combine my love for quirky, beautiful household items with a cause I’m passionate about. I am a freelance writer and blogger and am very happy to be joining the Seven Hopes team. I live in Southern California now, but am a Midwest girl originally. My husband and I are headed to Thailand shortly for our honeymoon and I can’t wait to experience a new-to-me culture and explore how a vastly different country lives and operates. I am excited to get to know the Seven Hopes United followers and customers. I hope to share more about how the fair trade industry has opened my eyes to how we all have a social responsibility to the people of this country and to the world. We’re all in this together and I look forward to making fair trade more of a priority in people’s minds and hearts.

I like New Year’s resolutions, but sometimes catch myself feeling guilty if the’re … well … less than noble. Read War and Peace or learn French? Sounds […]

‘Twas the The Week After Christmas

‘Twas the week after Christmas, and all through the house, the natives were sleepy, down to the last little mouse. The stockings and boxes were packed away with care, empty and folded, no more presents filling the air. The children lay nestled all snug in their beds, While visions of New Year’s cheer danced in their heads. And I in my flannel, […]

Last-Minute Fair Trade Gifts!

It’s December 20! (5 days till Christmas, if you’re math-challenged :)). Are your fair trade gifts merrily wrapped under the tree? Or are they, ahem, still sitting in your online shopping cart or on the store shelves just waiting for you? If that’s the case with your Seven Hopes gifts, you can still order TODAY […]

5 Ways to Spread Christmas Cheer!

I think we all love the “giving” aspect of the holiday season. Gifts are a wonderful way to show a loved one how much you care. But sometimes, it’s easy to get caught up in the glitz and glam and place the spotlight on the gift, not the true spirit of sacrifice of time and […]
