Hiking the Inca Trail

Greetings from Rio de Janeiro!

My travels in South America are drawing to a close. It’s been a beautiful trip that has opened my eyes to an entirely new culture! Even though I’m a little sad to leave, it’s always a wonderful thing to know you’re going home. I missed Black Friday shopping with my family, which is one of my favorite days of the year, but I’ve made up for it here in South America!

Speaking of shopping—it’s Small Business Saturday! Head to our Website to take advantage of some great deals today! Thank you as always for supporting our “small business” and helping us change lives all over the world.

If you need a little shopping break, please enjoy the following pictures from the hike to Machu Picchu my husband and I completed last week. It was a three-night, four-day trip and every moment was beautiful and challenging. I would recommend it to anyone!

(Arrival in Aguascalientes, where we left civilization behind to head to the trail!)

(Surveying the camping equipment and feeling a bit overwhelmed…)

(Here we go!)

(See that beautiful Inca site at the bottom of the photo?)

(Yes, we were probably a bit too close to the edge here. Sorry Dad.)

(Overlooking our second campsite!)

(Lovely scenery on Day 3!)

(There it is—Machu Picchu. Truly one of the most stunning sites I have ever seen!)

(We made it!)

(The sun came out just for my photo. :))

(Again–a bit close to that edge!)

Thanks for looking, and have a very happy Saturday!
